Hello Kitty Cartoon Show Online

I just found out that a Hello Kitty animated cartoon show from 1987 is available to watch online at Hulu.com. It's called Hello Kitty's Furry Tales Theater. Cute fun for kids (of any age) and Hello Kitty fans. I never heard of it or watched it when I was a kid, but for other people who did watch it then it could bring back some nostalgic 80s memories. It looks like one of the episodes is based on Star Wars. I love cute things, but I am also a bit of a geek. So mix something cute, like Hello Kitty, with something sci-fi, like Star Wars...and I'm sure I'll love it. :)

Cute USB Flash Drives!

A friend of mine had mentioned some pretty usb flash drive jewelry she saw on Amazon.com which led to me looking to some of the cute and kawaii flash drives that they have on Amazon...actually it led to me looking at A Lot of cute usb flash drives on Amazon. There were so many that I loved that wrote about the cute flash drives. <--Click on that link to see them. My favorites were the one's that look like yummy, slices of cake. There were even more cute usb flash drives that I didn't add...but I will hopefully add them later sometime soon.

My Little Pony, Pretty...Clothing

My Little Pony Shirt - Retro Style

Have you heard that Zazzle.com is now offering My Little Pony merchandise on their site now? I wanted to focus on the My Little Pony shirts that they have and wrote a little feature on them at Squdoo.com. They have designs featuring both the newer ponies from the current My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic cartoon and the classic, vintage 80s ponies that I knew and love growing up. I have to say I like the look of the older style of the ponies. But I also like how they made some of the designs more "cool" by giving them and edgy and grungy style while still maintaining the pony's cuteness.

If you follow Japanese street fashion you may have noticed that My Little Pony (and other cute 80s characters) are popular amongst some fashion trends, including fairy-kei (I plan to add more about this on my squidoo article in the near future). And the My Little Pony toys have even been worn as necklaces (including by Lady Gaga). If you're like me, you'd rather wear them as design element on a t-shirt. But if you want to wear them as an accessory that is cool too. :) So the MLP trend is not just one here in the United States, but other parts of the world too. And Japan has its pulse on current and future fashion trends. So if they think it's cool, it is cool. And that makes My Little Pony cool. ;)

Zazzle Creates Designers Support for Relief Aid in Japan

Zazzle gave designers the opportunity to donate their designs to charity for relief in Japan for the earthquake and tsunami that hit them in March. GiggleStix created this design of a maneki neko, or good fortune cat, with a heart on the koban coin it holds to represent our wishes for Japan's heart to heal from this experience. The design is available on t-shirts, mugs, badges and even iPhone and iPad cases.

A lot of designers have donated their great designs for charity for Japan that you can check out at Zazzle as well.

Girls Fluff!

There is a new design at the GiggleStix store at Zazzle.com that in a cute way declares that "Girls Don't Fart They Fluff."

Normally this is not the kind of design I would create, but I decided to anyway.

My dad worked in construction and told a story about this cute, tiny (but tough) Asian American woman on his crew who would declare that, "Women don't fart...they Fluff!"

Well I ended up stumbling across this youtube video called Spiritual Farts and it made me think of the "Girls Fluff" euphemism. And although usually too "girly and prim" to talk about farting (I may be tomboyish in many ways, but not this one) I decided to make a "cute" design about the subject anyway.

To prove that girls "fluff" here is a Latin American music video where the women "fluff" butterflies.

Loving the Monkeys

There are some pretty awesome and cute monkey products out there. I don't want to throw out any bad puns and say I've gone bananas over them...but I do have to say that I like them a lot. Monkey faces, especially when they are drawn in a cute cartoon style, make me smile. They just seem so funny and they are almost always guaranteed to cheer me up.

Remember that line from the song If I Had a Million Dollars by the group Barenaked Ladies that says...

If I had a million dollars

Well, I'd buy you a monkey

Haven't you always wanted a monkey?

Well I'm not so sure I'd want a real live monkey even if I had a million dollar, but I'd be pretty happy with something such as this baby faced monkey t-shirt with its Japanese style and writing. It is one of my favorite monkey products that I've found online so far.



I also really love these monkey key covers or caps by Fred. They are such a fun way to organize your keys and keep track of which key goes to what.

For Love of the Cute Octopus

There's nothing quite as cute as an octopus is there? Well, okay you're probably thinking that they aren't that cute. But when it comes to cartoon versions of octopuses or octopi (both plural forms are correct, by the way) there are some pretty cute ones out there.

For example, this pink octopus shown on a t-shirt at  the left is quite adorable. With all those legs, the sweet shade of pink, that cute face, the speech bubble with a heart in it...how could you think it's anything but cuddly?
